During decades of war, innocent people have been caught in the middle of gun battles. Many of these victims are children. There is a phenomenon known as 'Stray Bullets'. Sometimes a bullet will miss its target or ricochet, then break into fragments and become deadly to multiple victims simultaneously. If the bullet does not kill you it can become permanently lodged in one's body. Because of the bullet's delicate location, trying to remove it can often be life threatening. Our film takes place in rural Colombia and the backdrop is the Colombian drug war between the FARC and the anti-FARC police. It is a story about two teenage boys who are close friends. One day a stray bullet will change their lives forever and lead them down very different paths. One becomes a ruthless and powerful drug lord. The other an ambitious and unforgiving anti-FARC police captain. Many years later their lives intersect at the most dire moment and this is where our story begins... Directed by: Mono Ghose

'A Home in the Theatre' is the story of 93-year-old Artistic Director, Edith O'Hara, and the theatre she founded 34 years ago in Greenwich Village, to hold her ground against the greed of an unscrupulous real estate developer who wants to tear the building down and build condos in its place. This parallels what has been going on in New York City as a whole: during the making of this film, some 20 Indie theatres were destroyed. The Thirteenth Street Repertory Company is a unique institution whose mission is to nurture the creativity of anyone interested in theatre. This film chronicles the history of the Rep, Edith's dogged determination to save it, focuses on the creative, and sometimes quirky characters who people her world. Directed by: Melodie Bryant

383 studio apartments in one complex of buildings. The world's largest artists community. A groundbreaking utopian vision – offering space for art and artists’ families at affordable rents in New York City. Home to Diana Arbus, Merce Cunningham, Joseph Chaikin, Nam June Paik, John Scofield, Robert de Niro Sr, Vin Diesel, Gil Evans, Nadine Gordimer and 1000’s of artists for the past 40 years. Once in the middle of nowhere, Westbeth rised out of a once forgotten and dangerous part of New York. Now in the center of the transformed Meatpacking District surrounded by millionaires, the world of fashion and bling. An intimate film portrait of how Westbeth rescued the arts in a changing Greenwich Village. And demonstrating why every large city around the world should have its own Westbeth. In 1995, my mother met a deeply damaged young boy, she was a volunteer at a War Rehabilitation Institute in Montenegro. Every year my family would return to my Serbian Father's beloved Montenegro. Zijo became more and more a part of my family but it was not till this year that he decided to take my other brother and I back to the village where he was born and tell us what happened to his family. Zijo, like may children in Bosnia, was sent to Montenegro to receive treatment during the war. Bosnia was the center point of the former Yugoslavia, it was a melting pot of nationalities and religions. Zijo is a Roma (Gypsy) Muslim, the smallest ethnic group in Bosnia. They were mistreated by all the parties of the war and today the Roma are still consider second class citizens all over Europe. Directed by: Michael Jovic

It was in the late 70s that a youth culture evolved in the poorer parts of New York which combined several disciplines under the name of Hip Hop. Apart from the four classic elements of Graffiti writing, DJing, Breakdancing, and Rapping, the musical side of this culture was enhanced by a fifth element called 'Beatboxing'. From the hardship of poverty and the lack of instruments, a pioneer was inspired to imitate drum rhythms with his mouth - his brilliance creating the term 'Human Beatbox'. The documentary integrally covers a variety of musical technical abilities. Beatboxing has become a multilingual and diverse instrument applied in all genres of music. The documentary shows how this modern style of music has spread and how it continues to enrich the entertainment world. Directed by: Klaus Schneyder

The Ravenwood Theatre is over 100 years old. For many years, it has been a cherished landmark; a place where generations enjoyed acting, music, and song. However, times have changed. No performance has been staged in the Ravenwood for over 20 years. The Ravenwood’s current owner is Anna Martin, a young college student, who inherited it from her parents when they passed away. Unable to pay the back taxes on the old theatre, the bank is foreclosing. Enter Margaret Parsimony, a money-grubbing real estate agent, who wants nothing more than to level the Ravenwood to put up, of all things, a mini-mall! There seems to be no hope of saving the old theatre, but appearances can be deceiving. Anna is about to get some help . . . of the supernatural kind. Sent back to earth to aid young Anna, appear the Ghosts of the Ravenwood Theatre! The theatrical specters and Anna, along with the help of Anna’s friend, Toby, team up to thwart Margaret Parsimony’s scheme by staging a show to raise money to save the theatre. The show, dubbed the Ghoulish-Haunted-Otherwordly-Spooktacular-Theatrical-Show or GHOSTS, is the Ravenwood Theatre’s last hope. However, there is a problem. The entire cast of the show is, well . . . dead, and though Anna and Toby can see the spirits, will anyone else? Can they save the theatre? Can they stop Margaret Parsimony? Can they get an audience to . . . BELIEVE?

'THE AFFLICTED' is an intense film based on a truly disturbing story of mental and physical abuse delivered by an explosively violent mother of four. Grace, the youngest of three sisters is the witness to the exhausting abuse, continuing rape and murder of her sisters. Leslie Easterbrook (Halloween, House, and The Devils Rejects) plays the lead role of Maggie, a mentally unstable mother that defends her actions by her twisted religious beliefs. Kane Hodder, (Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th) stars as Hank, a husband that is desperate to leave his failed marriage and distant wife but finds leaving more difficult than he originally planned. Grace’s story is unpredictable and shocking, she watches helplessly as her mother destroys her family one by one. With a hopeless future, Grace is forced to take matters into her own hands. Her relentless story throws you deep into her experience and leaves you little time to breathe. The Afflicted is a horrific story and tragic tale, inspired by true events.
